Galactic Slice is a dynamic 2D game developed by AVADA MEDIA team using modern frontend stack and Phaser game engine. The game is created for browsers and adapted for desktop and mobile devices, demonstrating a high level of interactivity and visual development.
Galactic Slice is an arcade game in which the user controls a virtual sword, cutting through passing planets before they disappear into a black hole. Objects appear on the screen in random order, are subject to simulated gravity and have different trajectory of movement. Timely interaction with the elements requires precision, reaction and attentiveness from the player.
Cutting the planet is accompanied by animations that enhance the visual response and involvement in the process. Points are awarded for each successful cut. If the user fails to interact with the planet in time, or it falls into a black hole, Total Score points are reduced.
As points accumulate, new sword types and unique planets are unlocked for the player, encouraging progression and repeated sessions of play.
The main menu is realized using interactive 2D elements: planets and asteroids are animated and react to the user’s actions, creating the effect of living space already at the stage of entering the game.
